Konstantin Zvezdochetov was born in 1958 in Moscow. In 1981 he graduated from the production department of the Moscow Art Theater School. In 1978 he was one of the founders of the art group Mukhomors (Amanita), one of the most striking phenomena of the Russian underground of the 1980s. In 1986 he initiated the creation of the World Champions group. He published a literary and artistic almanac, Night Life. 1986 — founding member of the Club of Avant-gardists (KLAVA). Since 1993, he has been a member of the Ministry of Agriculture. His works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the NCCA, the Moscow Art Museum, the Museum of Art 4, the New Museum (St. Petersburg), the Samara Regional Art Museum, the Jane Wurhis Zimmerli Museum (Norton and Nancy Dodge collections, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA ), The Kolodzey Art Foundation (Highland Park, New Jersey, USA), the MUKHA Museum of Modern Art (Antwerp, Belgium), the Duke University Museum of Art (Durham, USA), the Prato Museum of Modern Art (Italy), the Museum of Fine Arts art of the Mucharnok (Budapest, Hungary), the Modern Gallery, the Eastern European Museum of the Soviets (Ljubljana, Slovenia), the Bakhchsarai Palace Museum. Participant of DOKUMENTA (Kassel) and the Venice Biennale.
