Vladimir Dubosarsky was born in Moscow in 1964 in the family of the well-known artist Yefim Dubosarsky. He graduated from the Moscow Art College in 1984 and Moscow State Academic Art Institute in 1991. Member of the Union of Artists since 1994. Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of the Russian Federation, laureate of the professional award in photography, Silver Wreath, in 2006, holder of a professional award for artists working in the field of contemporary art Soratnik (2007). Received the medal «Worthy» at the first Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art. Painting and objects are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, ROSIZO, the Duke University Museum of Art (Dahram, USA) and the Museum of Modern Art (Avignon). 2001-2004 — was the organizer and commissar of the Festival Art-Klyazma. 2004-2008 — was the organizer and the head of the project ArtStrelka. 1994-2014 — worked in a duet with Alexander Vinogradov — their monumental pseudorealistic paintings, where they, by their own definition, «did not hesitate to paint a new paradise», are bought in Russia and in the West (and even counterfeited already). Duet paintings have participated in exhibitions around the world and at various forums, including the Biennale in Venice. Works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Multimedia Art Museum, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the National Centre for Contemporary Arts, the New Museum (St. Petersburg), the Georges Pompidou Centre (Paris), the Museum of Modern Art (Houston) and many others. Since 2014 Dubosarsky has been actively working on a solo project. In the last three years he has organized 8 solo exhibitions.
